Making partial payments works as an installment payment plan.
Even if you are making partial payments, all balances must be paid by 4:30 p.m., Nov. 3, 2009 to prevent taxes from being sold.
The state imposes 1.5% monthly interest on the unpaid balance on late payments. The interest increases by 1.5% every thirty days. You have until the last day in each thirty-day period to pay before the interest increases. The amount owed with interest is listed on the coupons at the bottom of the tax bill and at View 2008 Taxes and Pay 2008 Taxes Online.
There is a $2 re-billing fee for each partial payment. The new bill is updated to show the remaining balance unpaid.

Payment must be in the treasurer’s office by 4:30 p.m. on all of the dates below to be an on-time payment.
Payment received afterwards will not be accepted as on-time, regardless of postmark.
Thurs., Oct. 1 is the last day to pay to prevent publication of your name in delinquent tax lists published Oct. 12-16. Payment must be in full and must be in our office by 4:30 p.m.
Fri., Oct. 2 is the last day to pay with non-certified funds in our office.
Sat., Oct. 3 is the last day to pay with non-certified funds in our drop box.
Fri., Oct. 9 is the last day to pay without incurring the $10 publication fee.
Sun., Nov. 1 is the last day to pay online. Partial payments cannot be made online.
Tues., Nov. 3 is the last day to pay in our
office. Only certified funds are accepted in our office from Oct.
5-Nov. 3.
