ATTENTION: Financial institutions will begin collecting real estate tax payments on May 1, 2022.
The banks listed will accept payments from May 1st through June 1st (the First Installment due date); and from August 1st through September 1st (the Second Installment due date).
**The only exception to this collection period will be First Midwest Bank. All First Midwest Bank branches will take payments from May 1st all the way through September 1st, 2022.
NOTE: BANK COLLECTORS WILL NOT TAKE A PARTIAL PAYMENT. YOU MUST PAY THE FIRST OR SECOND INSTALLMENT (OR BOTH) WITH THE APPROPRIATE PAY-STUB(S) IN ORDER TO PAY AT A BANK.
Payments made at any listed bank or credit union will not show posted in our office or the Will County Treasurer’s website for approximately two weeks. A receipt issued by the teller will be considered proof of payment.
NOTE: Payments requiring an immediate receipt must be made in person at the Will County Treasurer’s Office, 302 N Chicago St, Joliet, IL 60432.
Tax payers are not required to be a customer at any participating bank.
To pay at a bank or credit union, a taxpayer must have his or her tax bill, payment coupon or print screen from our website. **Bank associates are not responsible to research or look up a parcel**
